Sometime in 2010 I started law school, and landed my first job at a men’s outfitter.
In my free time I browsed the internet for street style photography for inspiration. Through Tommy Ton’s jakandjil.com I discovered Milan Vukmirovic, and a short time later his magazine Fashion For Men. It was a revelation for me, as men’s fashion - in my perception - was often treated as second class, and I fully dived into it. Until today, I think I have almost every edition.
So you can guess that I’m very happy to have Milan on The Wasted Hour Podcast and to share with you this conversation we had back in September. We talked about the last fashion piece that he bought, the beginning of the legendary Paris concept store Colette, his time as a designer at Gucci and Jil Sander, him shooting his first photos under a fake name and - of course - Fashion For Men.
