"For a long time I have been a firm believer in making photographs within the familiarity of your own world, seeking beauty within your common surroundings and not longing for something more: An idea which is creatively liberating yet generally grappled with by the majority."

Appetite/ Plastic Rebellion

by Alyssa Boehle

"We are always watching what others consume and what people have an appetite for. Whether it's sex, food, entertainment etc, knowing what other people value gives us an 'in'.
It opens a window into that other person, and it lets us answer their appetites – usually to get something in return. What I find most interesting is what we choose to be transparent about versus what we hide, what we feel comfortable selling versus what we do not, both as the consumer and observer."

"I find myself often worrying about the future and the uncertainties it carries, and I forget that there is a present that needs to be lived. I tend to force myself to make plans by default, to have everything quite organised and controlled.“

See and read about André’s trip to Porto Covo, where he found himself again, without being touched by the hurry of day-to-day life.

Lea Porcelain

Lea Porcelain

Some albums come to you at the perfect moment. Last year, just when winter had arrived I was sitting on the train, travelling back to Hamburg after an emotional encounter. Staring out of the window and the already white landscape, Lea Porcelain’s debut album "Hymns to the night" caught me.
Their sound is the result of Markus’ strong and expressive voice and Julien’s beautiful soundscapes.

We met one sunny day at the Funkhaus in Berlin to talk about their first encounter at the Robert Johnson Club, the energy at the night, music in skate videos and of course their new song “I am Ok”.
