Gift Card Terms

These conditions apply to digital gift cards issued by wasted hour. Our general Terms of Service and statutory consumer rights also apply.

Purchase and delivery

Gift cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided with the order after payment has been successfully processed and the order has been fulfilled. No shipping charge applies to an order containing only gift cards.

If a gift card is ordered together with physical products, the shipping conditions and charges applicable to those products apply.

Redemption

Gift cards can be redeemed for products available through the wasted hour online store and at wasted hour - concept store, Neuer Wall 88, 20354 Hamburg, Germany.

The unique gift card code must be entered during online checkout or presented in the Hamburg store. Gift cards may be used over multiple purchases while a balance remains. Multiple gift cards may be used for one order.

If the order total exceeds the available gift card balance, the remaining amount can be paid using another payment method offered at checkout or in the store. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase another gift card.

Validity and balance

Gift cards issued by wasted hour do not expire. Any unused balance remains available for future eligible purchases.

Gift card balances do not earn interest and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law.

Transfers and security

Gift cards may be given to another person. The holder is responsible for keeping the gift card code secure. Please contact us promptly if a code is lost, disclosed without permission or suspected of being used fraudulently.

We may temporarily block or deactivate a gift card where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, unauthorised use, a technical error or another legal requirement. This does not affect legitimate statutory claims. If we permanently cancel a valid gift card for reasons not attributable to its holder, we will provide an appropriate replacement or refund the unused balance.

Returns and refunds

If products purchased with a gift card are validly returned, the corresponding refund is credited back to the gift card used for payment. If this is not technically possible, we may issue a replacement gift card for the relevant amount. Where an order was paid using a gift card and another payment method, refunds are allocated in accordance with the original payment and Shopify's refund process.
